Citizens living in Kebon Manggis, East Jakarta affected normalization work in Ciliwung River have agreed with relocation plan to Cipinang Besar Selatan Flat (Cibesel).

I have no choice because this is the government policy

As experienced by Fatimah (38), one of citizens whose homes would be affected by the eviction, in RT 04/04 Kebon Manggis has lived the land since 1978. But she was only resigned responding the city administration's policy

"I have no choice because this is the government policy. The important thing is we will be relocated to the flat," she expressed, Thursday (1/28).

She admitted Kebon Manggis is prone to flood since 1996, 2002, 2007, 2012 and until now. The water level can reach 3 meters.

"I always survive on my home tile when flood comes," she admitted.
